I know many people who have world class leadership potential but they can't control their temper. In one angry encounter with someone, they tear down everything they spent tons of time and effort building.
Many leaders (fathers or mothers), believe that their position gives them the right to mistreat people to meet their objectives. Offended people are considered necessary casualties of war. Often the angry leader's position isolates them from good feedback or protects them from the ramifications of their abusive behavior.
It troubles me when people, with a little man's complex, are given a badge (authority) and suddenly they think they are Clint Eastwood.
The same principle applies to marriages; it takes a lot of hard work to build healthy relationships but it just takes one out of control and/or violent argument to destroy years of trust.
